Calorie tracking made easy
Photograph your plate. Bulky AI estimates the calories and macros, and logs them against daily targets built around your body and your goal.
Sign in with Apple or Google. Delete your account any time.
Three steps, then you're tracking
No food database to search, no weighing, no manual entry. Answer nine questions once, then point your camera at dinner.
Answer nine questions
Your body stats, activity level, goal and diet preference. Bulky AI turns them into a daily calorie target and a protein, carb and fat split.
Snap your plate
Take a photo, or pick one from your gallery. A vision model reads the meal and estimates what's in it — usually in a few seconds.
Watch the day fill
Calories and macros left update as you log. Scroll back through previous days to see what you actually ate.
What's inside
Everything the app does today — nothing it doesn't.
Targets built from your answers
A daily calorie goal plus protein, carbs and fat, generated from your body stats, activity level, weekly pace and diet preference — classic, keto, vegan or vegetarian.
Photo-based meal logging
Camera or gallery. The model names the meal and estimates its calories and macros. If the photo isn't food, it says so and throws the entry away.
Your day at a glance
Calories left, macros left, and every meal you've logged — with a date strip for the past two weeks, in your own timezone.
One-tap account deletion
From the Profile tab. Your photos, your profile, your meal history and your sign-in identity are all erased. No support ticket, no waiting.
Straight about the numbers
Most calorie apps oversell their accuracy. Here's what ours actually is.
Bulky AI reads a single flat photograph. It can't weigh your food, see under the surface of a dish, or spot the oil in the pan. It infers portion size from the plate and the cutlery — so the figures are estimates, and sometimes they'll be well off. They're useful for spotting a trend across a week, not for hitting a number to the gram.
Bulky AI is a general wellness tool, not a medical device, and it isn't a dietitian. It knows nothing about your medical conditions, medications or allergies, because it never asks. Never use it to decide whether a food is safe for an allergy, and talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before changing how you eat. Full detail in the Terms of Service.
Frequently asked questions
The honest answers, including the unflattering ones.
Is Bulky AI free?
Yes. There's no subscription, no in-app purchase and no paid tier. We don't collect payment details. If we ever add paid features we'll show you the price before you buy anything, and nothing already free will move behind a paywall without notice.
How accurate are the calorie numbers?
They're estimates from one photo, and they will sometimes be substantially wrong. The model can't weigh anything or see hidden ingredients, oils or sauces. We do check the daily targets it generates against a sane range and reject nonsense, but an individual meal estimate is exactly that — an estimate.
What happens to my meal photos?
They're stored with our image provider, and a resized copy is sent to OpenAI to be analysed. They're shown back to you in your meal log. We don't publish them, sell them, show them to other users, or use them to train our own models.
Can I correct a meal the AI got wrong?
Not yet. Editing and deleting individual meals isn't built. Today you can log a meal, and you can delete your entire account — nothing in between. It's on the list.
Can I delete my account and my data?
Yes, from the Profile tab, and it's immediate. It erases every meal photo you've uploaded, your profile and targets, your whole meal history and your sign-in identity. It's permanent — there's no recovery period and no way for us to restore it.
How do I sign in?
With Apple or with Google. Those are the only options — we don't issue passwords and there's no email-and-password sign-up.
Does it scan barcodes or search a food database?
No. Photos only. There's no barcode scanner, no food search, no manual entry and no restaurant database. If a photo won't work, Bulky AI won't help you log that meal.
How old do I have to be?
At least 16. The app asks your date of birth to work out your calorie needs, not to check your age — but 16 is the requirement in the Terms of Service.
